Mason is sick, can you pray for him.

Well it looks like Mason is officially sick. He was acting fine all morning, and this afternoon we went to the grocery store and he was a tad crabby. When we got home I tried to put him down for a nap, and he was screaming. When I went to check on him, he was on fire. I took his temp and it was 102.6, great! So I gave him some medicine and got him to fall asleep on the couch. That was at 5:30pm, an hour later and he is still asleep. Hoping the medicine kicks in soon.

If you don't mind could you please keep us in your thoughts and prayers tonight that no one else in the house catches this. And that we are able to control his fever, to where he does not have a seizure. Both of our boys have had a febrile seizure, and while any doctor will tell you they are pretty harmless it is not something you want to watch your child go through.

At the first sign of illness, especially fevers I panic. I am quickly transported back to those 2 days when I watched my boys have a seizure. I never want to see that again. Actually I don't think I have ever talked about those days before. Maybe I will tomorrow. But for now I am off to take care of my sick boy.

Have a great night!

Sorry to hear that your little one is sick. I've never experienced a febrile seizure with either of my kids, and from the sounds of it, I never want to. All good thoughts and prayers that Mason is feeling better soon.

Strip his clothes off and get your cool wash cloths ready. They are SO scary. Kanin had about 6 of them so now anytime any of my kids have fever I freak out. The good thing is that they do grow out of them. Kanin's last one was at about 2 or 2 1/2. Prayers going your way!
