Happy 1st Birthday Taylor!

One year ago today, at 1:06am, my beautiful miracle girl came into this world. I thank god everyday for bringing Taylor into our lives. One year later, I am still amazed that I even conceived her. Despite all the odds, she was meant to be right here. We were meant to be her family! I am so blessed and so thankful for her.

I am so thankful that I was able to watch her grow and learn this past year. I was able to watch her roll over, crawl, and now cruise along the furniture. I was able to nurse her for 10 precious months, those moments I will never forget. I am watching her learn to feed herself table food, and interact more and more with her brothers. Oh and that smile and laugh, it can make everything right in the world!

What Taylor is up to at 1 year old:
*Takes a bottle 4 times a day
*Eats food 3 times a day
*Trying to introduce more table food and the sippy cup
*Sleeps through the night (usually 8pm-7am)
*Takes 2 naps, a morning and late afternoon
*Big daddy's girl, prefers daddy over mommy
*LOVES to cuddle and be held
*Can pull up using furniture, cruises all along the furniture
*Still crawls most places (really fast crawling)
*LOVES bath time
*Claps
*Says mama, dada, bubu, baba,
*Loves her food and to eat
*A very happy, smiley, and content baby

Taylor, I am so proud to call you my daughter. You make me so happy, and just complete our family! Mommy loves you to the moon and back princess!

Dying from Cuteness!

Taylor fed herself for the first time the other day!

She had blueberry puffs, and she LOVED them.

Using her tiny pointer finger and thumb she was able to grasp those puffs and successfully transfer them to her mouth. Most of the time!

Someone please tell my baby girl to stop growing and getting so big!

Before long she will be eating steaks and peeing on the potty. Ahh soaking up her littleness. Is that a word?!

Have to run, Alyssa is here while Tim and Chris are hunting. We are off to play the morning away. Enjoy your Friday and weekend!

Linking up for Fab Friends Friday! Head on over and join us!

Happy 9 Months Taylor!

My sweet girl, yesterday you turned 9 months old. I can't believe it. That means that in in 3 months you will be a year old. Amazing.

You are such a happy little girl. The only time you get upset is if your hungry or teething. You enjoy crawling all over the house playing with your brothers, and your a fast army crawler!

A few days ago you started saying mama, and now you say it all the time. It is probably the cutest thing ever!

You enjoy snuggles, and lets be honest I love them too.

Oh and eating you love to eat. Your still nursing about 4-5 times a day, but your also eating baby food about 2-3 times a day. You eat it ALL too. Carrots, bananas, peas, squash, green beans, sweet potatoes, applesauce, peaches....

Oh baby girl I love you more than I could ever express in words. So glad you are here in our lives!

Taylor's Stats:
Weight: 15lbs 8oz
Height: around 25 inches

What Taylor can do at 9 months:
* Sleeps in her room in her crib
* Sleeps all night, usually from 8pm-7am
* Army crawls EVERYWHERE
* Last night started to try and sit up all by herself
* Gets on all fours for a few minutes, but then goes back to the army crawl
* Babbles
* Says Mama
* Takes naps in her bed
* Does not really go in the swing anymore
* Plays in the Jumperoo
* Spends most of her time on the floor playing with her brothers
* Nurses 4-5 times a day
* Eats baby food 2-3 times a day
* Does not really enjoy bath time
* Still only has the 2 bottom teeth
* Wears 6-9 month clothes, 9 months, and even some 12 months (even though they are a little big)
* Gives kisses when you ask her for one
* Loves to cuddle, be held
* Prefers mommy and daddy pretty equally

HAIR: Out of control if it's not pulled back!

I love you to the moon and back Taylor,

Mommy

Developmental Milestones

If you have been reading my blog for a while, or know me IRL, then you know that Taylor is mobile now. She can get ALL over by crawling. Not on all fours, yet, but by doing the army crawl. She is pretty darn good at it too.

But I am a smidge concerned that she is still not sitting up unassisted. I mean like not at all. The minute you sit her up she thrusts herself backwards. Refuses to sit up. I know that about 90% of babies can sit unassisted by 8 months, so I am hoping that nothing is wrong. I always remember the boys sitting up way before 8 months, and I know that all kids are different. I still can't help but be a little worried.

She is hitting all her other milestones. She rolls from front to back and vice versa. Crawling, babbling, just not sitting unless she is in your lap. I guess I could always talk to the doctor if I was really concerned. She will go for her 9 month check up at the beginning of the month, I guess I could give her until then, and if by that check up she isn't sitting say something.

Just a paranoid momma! At what age did your kids learn to sit unassisted?

Teeth!

Yep, Taylor has her 1st teeth! The two on the bottom FINALLY popped through the other day!

She is right on track with the boys if I remember correctly.....

They always got like 2 or more at a time too. She has been doing great though, with minimal crying!

She is just growing way too fast. With what the army crawling and now TEETH!

Now I just hope the rest come in fairly easy.

Stream of Consciousness

Being an only child can have it's pro's I guess. Really I always felt that I was missing out on something. Most of my friends growing up had a sibling or more than one.

They always had someone to play with when everyone else was grounded, or on vacation.

They had someone to get in trouble with, or stay up late with.

They had a best friend that was ALWAYS there.

They had someone to tell secrets to, or go to for help.

Tim is an only child too, except he enjoyed being an only child. That means our children have no aunts and uncles. Which to me is sad too. I enjoyed having aunts and uncles, even though some of them we don't talk to anymore or see all that often. It made my childhood that much more fun.

This is why I am so grateful I have more than one child. I am grateful that they will be able to have each other. It is wonderful to see their bond already. The love they have for each other just beams from their faces! It melts my heart!

I just hope nothing gets in the way of their relationship, and that they always lean on each other for love and support.

----------

Taylor is rolling all over the place!

She is rolling from her back to stomach and then to her back again. She seams to enjoy when she makes it on her tummy, and will stay there a little longer too.

I try and put some toys down for her or sometimes one of the boys will lay down and talk to her. But that usually only lasts for a few minutes and then she rolls back over, or starts to scream!

Any suggestions on getting her to play on her tummy more? She just would rather be in her swing on on my lap.

----------

Which brings me to my next topic HOLY TEETHING BABY! I swear she has been teething for like forever now. I still don't really see any teeth that are very close, maybe her two front teeth. But she has been a monster.

She has been chewing on everything and drooling like crazy.

She always has her fingers in her mouth.

Then sometimes I wonder if it's not teething that is making her so nuts. She is back to spending the majority of the day crying like she did when she was having the gas problems. I am still giving her gas drops everyday many times a day, but I did just run out.

Or maybe she has an infection or is getting sick. I don't know. This is the hard part, trying to figure out what is wrong with your baby when they can't speak to tell you. I do know that she usually is a very happy and content baby. Was always a great napper and went down at night like a champ. The past few days though, she fights her naps, and at night forget it. I cannot get her to lay down in bed and go to sleep for anything. The minute I lay her down she screams like someone is killing her. Breaks my heart.

Then there is the nursing strikes and constant eating. During the day she will have periods where she will refuse to nurse especially on one side, the left to be exact. And then other times in that same day she will eat nonstop for like 2 hours. This makes me think a growth spurt or maybe she isn't getting enough milk. I just don't know.

Good thing she has a doctor appointment soon. Maybe that will give me some answers.

Weekend Ramblings

We have been going to all kinds of birthday parties lately. There was Timothy's friend Nicco's party, which we had to miss, but met up with them later to give him a gift. Then we had Mason's party last weekend, yesterday we had our other friend Mason's party at Chuck E Cheese, and today we have our good friend Chris and Angie's little girl Alyssa's 1st birthday. And in two weeks we another friends party. Whew I am going to be all partied out, but I know the boys are enjoying it. Especially all the cake!

--------

In other news Duke is back!! It is the weirdest thing. He went missing around 2p.m. on Tuesday and on Thursday night I heard scratching at the front door. I went to open without thinking assuming it was Lando, our other dog, but then realizing he wasn't outside. I opened it slowly and seen Dukes little head, he can running in. He had a new collar on, looked like he had been fed, and smelled like he just had a bath.

We are assuming that someone snatched him up pretty quickly after he got away and thought they had a new dog. Which I guess is partially our problem since we didn't have a collar on him. But we cold not keep one on him. I am thinking that he got out of their house, maybe slipped through the door. Since you know he is pretty good at that kind of stuff. I am just surprised he came back here. I wish I knew who took him.

Part of me is grateful that someone took him in and cared for him. I really did not want him to be running on the streets in the 100+ degree heat or get hit by a car or something. But at the same time I am kind of upset that someone just took him in like they just got a new dog or something. Although then I just get mad at myself because they wouldn't happen if I would have had a collar and tag on him. Oh well we are just glad he is back and is fine.

He acted like he was never gone.

---------

Taylor is growing like a weed. She has finally mastered rolling from her back to her belly, but has yet to figure out how to go from her belly to back.

She is such a joy to watch learn and grow. We get so many compliments on how pretty she is, which of course we think so too. Yesterday we went out to eat and a nice lady and man were talking to us about Taylor. They could not get over how gorgeous she is, they told me when I picked her up they thought she was a little doll, and not a real baby. They said it was because of her dark hair, and fair porcelain like skin. It's always nice to hear such compliments, warms my heart. Although I already think she is the most beautiful girl.

Here are two videos of Taylor. Isn't she just the cutest. Baby giggles are just pure bliss!

---------

The boys are doing well. Timothy is in the "you can't take my picture" kick, and so I am not getting very many pictures of him lately. Mason loves to smile for the camera, but then moves or jumps or runs off right as you snap the picture. So most of my pictures of him are blurry or the back of his head or something crazy. I think the other day I showed you one of my favorite faces he makes.

Well here is another Mason face. This is the focused look!

On To New Adventures

For the past few weeks Taylor has been trying to roll over. She never gets anywhere, but she sure does try! It usually begins when she tries to look behind her and twists her neck so far back that she ends up on her side. But that's as far as she has made it, and the she gets stuck!

Darn arm, she just can't get over it! Then she usually just stays there and chews on her hand. When she is awake she is so active and alert now. Just always moving, "talking", smiling, and laughing. she is such a great baby. This is just the first step to a mobile baby. No more putting her on the couch, floor, or anywhere and knowing she isn't going anywhere.

Since we are talking about learning new things, check out what Mason learned how to do:

Yep, that would be him climbing up to the top bunk! I guess after watching Timothy do it and because, you know, he HAS to do EVERYTHING Timothy does it was only a matter of time. Thankfully though he doesn't jump off from the top(yet)and doesn't know how to get down. Unfortunately that means I hear "AHHHHHHHHHHHH" a million times a day as I have to go remove him from the top bunk, just so he can turn around and climb right back up.

Remind me again who thought it would be a good idea to get bunk beds!

All Smiles

Taylor has begun to smile!

Not the gassy, sleepy smiles like this one either!

But real smiles! She loves when you smile at her and she will shoot one right back at you!

I can tell she is going to be a spunky little girl with a BIG personality.

Just like any little girl though, I am sure I will have my fair share of drama and attitude! Let the fun begin.
