The terrible 2's HA!

Who ever coined the term "terrible 2's" must not really have kids, because if they did they would know 3 is so much worse!

Timothy started hitting a rough spot right before he turned two. It was like he went to bed my sweet angeland woke up a little monster!

Holy meltdowns batman! Even though he threw tantrums at the drop of a hat, in public, I would go back to those days if it meant I could skip the 3's! This stage/age is so very exhausting, and nerve wracking. My patience are really being tested now.

Although the tantrums have dropped, he has this personality now. He is so very strong willed and stubborn. I wonder who he gets that from?! He talks back, and can be very mean to his brother. Then out of nowhere he can be the sweetest little thing ever! I guess this is what it is like to live with a pregnant woman.

I am so sorry Tim!

I love to see him learning new things, and really develop into himself. But I have to tell you that some day's I am at my wits end before lunch! So warning, whoever tells you watch out for the "terrible 2's", they've got nothing on 3!

Goodbyes

Finally Blogger fixed their problem and I can write my post!

I mentioned early that Tim's parents were in town last week. They came up a few weeks early, it was a nice surprise! Tim's grandma( his mom's mom) is not doing that well and on top of never meeting Taylor yet, they just couldn't wait any longer. Can you really blame them?!

They moved to Texas about five years ago and it was hard on the whole family, and it has only gotten harder. Five years ago Tim and I had no kids, they had no grand kids. Now they have three that they don't get to see near enough as they and we would like! But you have to do what you have to do, right?! We have taken a few vacations to Texas in the five years they have been down there, and they try and come up every few months. It's not ideal, but it works.

Despite not seeing them much, the boys know who they are and love them so much! Timothy will even tell you that grandma and grandpa live in Texas and their house is far away! Timothy even goes as far as calling them ALL the time, at 5:30 A.M.!!! Needless to say we soak up every minute with them that when can when they are here.

Last week was no exception. You would never be able to tell that they live so far away and are not here much. The kids were in heave with Grandma and Grandpa!

Like all good things it had to come to an end. That's the hard part. Saturday we had to say goodbye, Grandma and Grandpa had to go back to Texas.

Why are goodbye's so hard?!

Luckily the boys are still young, and don't really grasp the goodbye and understand what is going on. I know the goodbyes are extremely hard on them and Tim. Now that I am a mom, to two boys, I can only imagine how it is to leave your child and be so far away. Just as I can only imagine how it is to have my mom or dad live so far away. Even though Tim and I are not married and they are not my parent's per say, I still consider them like parents. They are great, and are always there for Tim and I. They are the greatest grandparents too!

Thankfully they are going to try and move back here in the next year. How awesome would that be?! I can't wait! So until then we will wait patiently, or not so patiently...hurry up grandma and grandpa!

Thanks for the fun week and everything you guys did! We miss you like crazy already! See you soon!

LOVE you Tim and Debbie, Mom and Dad, Grandma and Grandpa
XOXO

Rough Water's

It has been rough around here for awhile now. I don't really think it's post pardom depression or anything, but who knows maybe it is. Tim and I are always fighting and he is always yelling. He is either yelling at me or the kids. I don't really care if he wants to yell at me, but it upsets me to see him yelling at the kids non stop. I mean he doesn't even see them a whole lot with work, and the little bit of time he has with them is spend in a bad mood and yelling. I just know something has to change because this is not good for them to be around.

I know he loves the kids and I, but it's hard to see. I couldn't even tell you the last time he held Taylor or played with her. He spends most of his time on the computer playing games or on the xbox. Now I know I spend a lot of time of the computer, but most of that time is when the kids are napping or after bedtime. I try really hard not to take away time from them, Tim on the other hand gets on the computer the minute he gets home from work.

I don't mean to complain all the time, but something has to give. We cannot keep going like this or things will turn ugly. I just am not sure what to do. I do know that I can't take the fighting, yelling, name calling, and put downs anymore. I just feel like taking the kids and running, but I know that won't solve anything.

I do know that I love my kids and want better for them! Even on the worst day I can look at their sweet faces and smile! I will make things right, if not for me, for them!

Memorial Day Weekend

Whew what an exhausting weekend! I will try not to bore you or post an insane amount of pictures, but it has been one hectic weekend! Tim's parents came in town on Thursday for a surprise visit, they weren't suppose to be here until the middle of June. They live in Texas and have not seen Taylor at all yet! They had to come up early because of her mom not doing well, and they just couldn't wait any longer. We were very excited to see them!

Friday we spend the day running around. We had to go pick up some parts for our bikes that we had ordered the previous week. Then we headed to the park for some lunch and play! Grandma and Grandpa met us there. Timothy had a blast playing baseball with grandpa and daddy, while Mason played on the playground.

Then we went back to Tim's grandparent's house for dinner, and then the boys played outside all evening. Once it was dark we walked down to the ball fields to watch the big kids play. Timothy LOVED this! He kept asking when it was his turn to go on the field, and that he needed his bat! It was a long, but great day!

On Sunday The kids and I went to my dad and Judee's house for a pool party! Tim had to work. Timothy is my little fish and spent around 3 hours in the pool! He had a great time shooting everyone with water, especially PA PA! Mason was hesitant to get in and only spent a short time in the water. I am shocked since he enjoys bath time.

This was also Taylor's first time swimming and she loved it!

Tim got off a little early and so we headed down to his grandparent's house for dinner again! Of course the kids spend most of the evening playing outside!

Monday, Memorial Day, we went to Tim's aunt Shari's house! We just spent the whole day with family and good food. No BBQ, but we did have some yummy spagetti. The boys always have a great time at Aunt Shari's house. They like to play basketball and ride bikes out back.

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Thank you to all the past, present, and future men and woman serving our country. I am in debt to you all!
