Mother's Day

Please excuse me as I try to catch up on the past few days.

Sunday, Mother's Day, we had a long day planned. We wanted to make sure we spent time with boy my mom, and Tim's mom.

In the morning we met my mom, my uncle, and one of her closest friend and her family at the winery by our house. The same winery we went to last year, except last year things didn't go so well.

But this year was great. We went earlier in the morning around 11am, so it wasn't crowded, the weather was perfect, and we all had a great time!

We snacked on sub sandwiches, crackers, cheese, Salomi, fruit. Once our bellies were full we headed down by the water where the kids fed the fish bread. They really got a kick out of this!

After a spending the morning at the winery we headed to Tim's grandparents house for BBQ. We spent the rest of the evening outside with family. It was the first Mother's Day in probably 6 years that Tim got to be with his mom. Good food, and quality family time!

The kids crashed at great grandma and grandpa's house. And they were out for the night. So Tim and I decided to not wake them and just stay there overnight. We snuck out for a late night Wal-Mart run, without kids. It almost felt like a date!

It was a awesome Mother's Day! I hope you all enjoyed a relaxing day with your families as well!

Mommy to THREE

Yesterday was my first Mother's Day as a mommy of three, and Taylor's first Mother's Day with me! It was great waking up to their sweet faces. Since I didn't get to sleep in because I had to get up to feed Taylor, I just went ahead and started my day by making the boys breakfast. Once Tim did wake up he made him and I some breakfast and then we got ready for the day.

My mom wanted us to meet her out at a winery by our house with a lady she works with and her family. I was a little upset about this whole situation in the first place, but decided to go because I wanted to see her on Mother's Day. All I wanted to do was spend Mother's Day with MY family, NOT someone Else's family! Don't get me wrong I am so happy my mom has such great friends who make her apart of their family. I just felt like no one cared that this was also MY Mother's Day too, and asked what I wanted to do. I really did not want to go to the winery, but did so she wouldn't upset. But deep down I feel that if she wants to spend holiday's with someone Else's family, then she shouldn't get upset if I don't go. This would have been a totally different day if we went to her house, or she came her, or we took the kids to the zoo, or went out to eat, anything as long as it was our family! Oh well I am done venting, just had to get that out!

So off we went to winery, and I was determined to still have a good time! This winery is beautiful! They have a lake that has a gazebo on it, where the kids can watch and feed the fish. The boys had a blast with the fish and running around with the other kids. It was super crowded though and Taylor was a little crabby. When we were down at the gazebo Taylor spit out her pacifier and wouldn't you know it, it went right into the damn lake! So of course we had to leave because she didn't last long without it! We didn't get to stay long, but the boys enjoyed themselves, so I was happy!

Once we left there we headed to the store to get some pacifiers, and let Timothy pick out a toy. We promised him that he would get a toy if he continued to go on the potty. He has been doing great for 2 weeks, so we thought it was time! I also bought The Biggest Loser game for the Wii, I LOVE that show and need to loose some of this baby weight. When then grabbed some dinner and headed home.

It wasn't my ideal Mother's Day and did not go how I imagined, but turned out to be a nice day! Plus every day that I am with my three beautiful kids is a great day! I am so blessed they choose me as their mommy!

I hope you all had a great day!
