Where O Where is Our Puppy.....

It is no secret that a new puppy was not really what I wanted shortly after we had our third child. I really didn't want to have to take care of a new puppy which is worse than a baby, all while I was trying to take care of a new baby. But Tim wanted him and so we got him. Sure he was cute, but I grew frustrated with him very quickly.

He went to the bathroom in the house constantly whether he was just outside or not. Snapped at the kids and myself, and always found a way to get off the lead outside and roam the streets. He always came back though. He has also tried to commit suicide twice. I'm not kidding. Twice he has tangled himself up with the lead so bad that he was chocking himself to death, and once I had to get the neighbors help while the other time I had to cut him loose.

I was at my breaking point, and we were thinking about finding him a new home. A home where he had the proper attention, and someone to work with him. He wasn't a bad dog, I just did not have that time. I have three kids 3 years old and younger to take care of, plus we already had a dog...who is now suffering from a slipped disc.

Then yesterday he got off the lead again for the second time that day. I figured he would come back like he always had, but he never did. I called for him and looked everywhere, as much as I could with having three kids in the house. When Tim got home that evening he took a ride looking for him. Nothing. We have no idea where he went.

Even though we did not plan on keeping him, this is not what we wanted to happen. We wanted to find him a loving home to go to. Now we don't know where he is at. We don't know if he has been hit by a car and is hurt, if not nice people picked him up, if he is alive or dead. It has been extremely hot here lately like 110-115 with the heat index. I am worried that if nobody has found him, then he may have died from the heat. I really hope that someone found him and took him in and gave him some food and water. I really hope that he is with people that are loving him.

I am really sad. Yes I was extremely frustrated with the dog, but this was not how it was suppose to happen. I am grateful that my kids are still young, and really have no idea what happened. They haven't even asked about him. Please just let him be OK.

Happy 5 months Taylor!

Yesterday Taylor turned 5 months old. Hard to believe. She is truly a gift from god!

I can't help but think about it all the time, Taylor was conceived while I had an IUD in. She was not "suppose" to be here. But that's just it, she IS suppose to be here. I am so overjoyed that she is in our lives.

That I finally have a daughter.

A daughter to go shopping with.

A daughter that will hopefully share her secrets with me.

A daughter that I will get to watch her daddy walk her down the aisle.

A daughter that I will get to watch grow up into a beautiful young lady.

A daughter that I will hopefully one day get to watch bear my grandchild.

A daughter that I can laugh and cry with.

A daughter that I hope to have a special bond with.

I look forward to watching her grow up, but I am soaking up the moment which is now. Her tiny little fingers, her perfect little toes, her silky soft skin, her chubby kissable cheeks, she is beautiful. I love her!

What Taylor is up to at 5 months:

* Weighs about 13.5 lbs
* Babbles all the time
* Smiles and giggles at everybody
* Loves to sit up with help
* Learned to roll over from back to belly, but needs help to go from belly to back
* Nurses about every 3-4 hours
* Sleeps about 8-10 hours at night
* Sleeps in her crib in her own room at night
* LOVES her swing still
* Usually naps in the swing during the day
* Bats at toys, and holds rattles
* Looks for you when she hears your voice
* Cries when she looses track of you
* Plays with her feet all the time
* Loves to be on the go...in the car, stroller, sleepy wrap
* Still takes many naps during the day
* Wears 3-6, and 6 month clothes
* Teething
* Gives big open mouth slobbery kisses

Trains, Trains, Everywhere

Last birthday post, I promise.

Well last birthday post for Mason. Timothy's birthday is in February so I will warn you now.

Plus we have 2 birthday parties next week, and then one in 3 weeks. I am going to be all partied out. The kids not so much.

Warning: this is going to be a picture overload and a rather long post. OK you have been warned.

Today we had Mason's family and friend party at the train store. His actual birthday was about 2 weeks ago. This is a great little train store where they sell hand made wooden trains, tracks, Thomas the train stuff, and so much more. They have 3 small train tables, and one big one set up for the kids to play with for free. They do accept donations. We go here all the time with kids to either get out of the cold or heat and just play for the morning. The boys love it so I knew it would be the perfect place to have his party.

Once everyone was there, we went up to the top level to the party room. This was so cute! The kids then took turns whacking a pinata. This was a hit! We let all the little kids go first and then let the older ones actually bust it open.

Next we sang happy birthday and enjoyed some cake. I had a Thomas/train cake made to match the theme. I think it turned out cute! The kids enjoyed it, so I guess that's all that really matters, right?!

Present time!

After cake and presents were over, we moved to the train room where we stayed until the party was over. There is a big train table for the kids to play with that was just for our party guests.

These hands prints all over the walls were of past birthday guests. Before we left Mason was able to put his handprint on the wall. Of course my child wanted nothing to do with the paint....

so we traced his hand. It worked. So now his hand will always be there as long as the building is. Or they paint it I guess!

And there you have it, birthday party success!

Wouldn't you know it I didn't take one picture of Taylor during the party. So here is Taylor after the party at home. I really just wanted to show off her cute little outfit!

Happy Friday

Taylor is back to her normal self....

it's amazing what some gas drops can do!

Today I went to order Mason's cake for his party tomorrow. It's going to be a Thomas cake since his party is at a train store. I am pretty excited to celebrate with friends even if his actual birthday was 2 weeks ago!

It has been extremely hot here, like 100 degrees with the heat index 112 hot. But today it was around 90 degrees. So after I ordered his cake we went to the park to let the boys run off some energy. I know that they are going crazy since we have been cooped up for almost 2 weeks from our illnesses. We didn't stay too long because it was still pretty hot.

Off to relax for a little bit, maybe do some cleaning. Then tomorrow I have to go to the grocery store in the morning and finish getting some party stuff. I hope everyone has a great weekend!!

Taylor needs to fart.

No really, she does. Last week I mentioned that Mason and Taylor were sick. Well Mason is all fine now, but the other day I noticed Taylor had a rash. After having two kids I know that sometimes a rash after a few days of a fever is normal sign of a virus leaving your system. It didn't really seem to bother her.

Well I guess it was on Sunday Taylor started to get extremely crabby. She spent most of the day crying, and this was the normal fussing. This was screaming in pain. Arching her back, pulling her hair out, trying to rip her face off. She didn't want to be held, didn't want to be in the swing, didn't want to be laid on the floor, didn't want to be in her bed.....she was so uncomfortable. Not to mention I just could not get her to really sleep much at all during the day.

Monday was not much better. She spent the whole day crying and do the same thing. I just knew that this was not normal teething or baby crabbiness. She didn't stop when Tim got home either. He finally said that I could either take her to the hospital or try and make it until the morning and call the doctor. After trying 3 times to get her to sleep in her bed, and her screaming so hard she was choking herself I knew I needed to take her to the hospital.

Tim stayed home with the boys since they were already asleep and my mom went with me to the hospital. We got there around 11:45p.m., waited 45 minutes to be called back. Taylor had just fallen asleep, but once they started taking rectal temperatures and all that fun stuff she was ride awake. Showing them the good set of lungs she had been showing me for the past 2 days.

They checked her eyes, no ear infection. The doctor felt her stomach and said it was really soft and maybe there was an abstraction in her stomach, a what?! Well by this point she was out of control screaming, and the doctor asked me if I had a bottle to feed or, or in other words to shut her up. I knew she wasn't hungry since she nursed 4 times before we left, she was tired and not feeling well. I told him no that I breastfeed and that she doesn't take bottles. He then went on to ask me if it was OK for them to give her some formula, so they could settle her down to take some x-rays of her chest and stomach. I kindly told him that no I did not want her to have any formula and that I could try and nurse her if he wanted me to.

I tried for a few minutes, but she didn't want any part of eating. She was too upset and I knew that was not what she wanted. They finally went ahead and did the x-ray, which only took a few minutes, she screamed the entire time. Then he came back and said it appears she has some extreme gas. GAS?! REALLY, ARE YOU SURE?! All this screaming can not be from gas.

He then took us to she her x-rays and holy cow that was a lot of gas. From the bottom of her chest to the pelvis was so cloudy and full of gas bubbles. You couldn't even see her ribs or lungs or anything. He said that it was possible that maybe I ate something that caused all this gas, my guess is maybe too much milk lately. Either way she is not taking some gas drops to hopefully get some of this gas out and relieve some of this pain.

I can only imagine how much pain she must be in. We got home around 2a.m. and she did go right to sleep and slept until 8a.m. I am praying she feels better soon, especially before Saturday, I really do not want her to feel this bad at Mason's party.

So far today, she is still pretty crabby. Anyone else have this problem? Anyone know of any tricks, or ideas on how to help her out?

I really miss my happy Taylor.
